New national security advisor and press secretary join the vice president’s office.
The vice president’s office recently announced staffing changes. Deputy National Security Adviser Phillip Gordon will be replacing National Security Adviser Nancy McEldowney, who is stepping down. Also, Kirsten Allen is being installed as the vice president’s press secretary.
Ms. Allen was formerly the national press secretary for the Department of Health and Human Services COVID-19 response and has worked with Vice President Kamala Harris in the past.
